This volume contains contributions from the workshop ‘Go With the Flow or against the Grain: Processes and Courses of Events in Archaeology and Cultural History’. The workshop focused on small and large processes in the past, and on the importance of differences in scale for our interpretations of such processes. The volume includes a comment by Professor Richard Hingley, University of Durham, who also acted as workshop discussant.
